We booked at the entrances with Navajo tours and although the people booking you in are abrupt and not the most friendly, we really enjoyed the tour and the tour guides were brilliant. yes they are busy and it is hard to get a clear shot without anyone in them but you need to be prepared for this. Both are worth doing they are both different but if you have time, do both. here is what we found and what we recommend. We found it really hard to find good information about how to visit antelope canyon so ended up playing it by ear. that also makes it a popular time of year to visit so plan well. We visited in September and the weather was perfect. Note.Don't forget to tip your tour guide. This adventure was enjoyed by our whole family, which included 3 late teen to early twenty year old girls. He stopped at one point and took a vertical panoramic family picture for each group. We meandered through the cavern at a slow pace while our tour guide pointed out interesting formations. The first thing he did when we were at the bottom of the cave was adjust everyone's cameras and phones to the optimal light settings. Sitting Buffalo, our tour guide did a great job. You should arrive for checking at least 45 minutes early since the line was a little bit long. Regarding Ken's Tours.Absolutely no complaints. The caves are cool temperature wise and amazing to behold. Once your down you'll have a series of easier ladders up that I had no problem with. Most people go down the ladders facing them (rather then like stairs) which makes the decent a little easier. Regarding the decent into the canyon, I do have a height and stair phobia which made getting into the canyon challenging for me. Once there, the caves are a short walk from the check-in office. We drove approximately two hours from Flagstaff in 110 degree August heat and I can honestly say it was one of my favorite all time experiences! In addition the ride gave us the opportunity to view more amazing Arizona scenery. We went with Ken's Guided Tours based on reviews here on tripadvisor. That was definitely not the experience we wanted. An image of two tour groups crossing in the Upper Canyon, in one massive crowd, sealed the deal for us. After wavering back and forth for months, we finally settled on Lower Antelope Canyon. Once we saw the pictures of Antelope Canyon in our tour book, we knew we had to make the drive to Page.
